The mission of Literacy United is to reach economically disadvantaged children who struggle in reading “one child at a time.”
Literacy United is different than other nonprofits serving children because:
Results have been dramatically positive and academically significant thus far for those students involved in the Literacy United intervention program. Our desire is to continue this trajectory of improved reading until each student reaches a reading and comprehension level that is commensurate with or exceeds their own grade level.
